I was pondering something a couple days ago with Mixie. It struck me as odd that such a popular show as ThunderCats (I know I used to watch it religiously, HO!!!!) was based on a very unique and somewhat questionable concept. If you look at the protagonists (the eponymous main good guys) and the antagonists (Mum-Raa, the evil mummy dude), you can’t help but wonder one thing: Who the fuckin fuck came up with a show that told the adventures of CATS VS. A MUMMY!!! Like, what inclined the producers to OK a show about meow mix loving cat people who have to protect a sword with a magical eye in it from an evil Mummy Guy wearing Middle Eastern robes? I can’t fathom why they chose this set-up, but I like it!!
